it is not that E-type would somehow apply for the NRJ-awards, it is the people at NRJ that have decided to make him a nominee in that. If I am right, the nominees are chosen mostly on basis of last years charts, and public opinion. And people choose the winner, by voting on the NRJ website or by phone.

I think it is quite a recognition for him already to be chosen as a nominee. and only us fans can help him to get that award. I don't think these awards are a foolish thing, cause as long as the award is given on basis of the public opinion, it tells a lot to the artist. I think that if the fans vote him to get the award, he would be very happy.
