2004 was a really great year for E-type. It started off with a nice surprise as he decided to participate in Melodifestivalen (the Swedish pre-finals for the Eurovision Song Contest) with his new single Paradise. He was 5th out of 32 artists. The year also brought him another sports song as he made the official Swedish song for the Olympics in Athens, Greece + took him on a tour around Sweden to promote his new album. An awesome tour indeed. It all ended with the announcement of a third single to be released in the beginning of 2005.
E-type went on tour in the winter of 2003 with his Eurometal band which was a great success. He went to lots of different smaller places and rocked the roof off. Unfortunately the rest of the year was quite silent around E-type as he decided to start writing new songs for his next album.
The year of 2002 started out great for E-type with a Radio NRJ Award in January and a lot of sold albums of Euro IV Ever. 2002 was also the year where E-type released "Africa" and "Banca Banca" before going on his Tour IV Ever through Sweden which was a huge success. Lots of photos from that tour is available on this website. E-type also went to Canada this year to perform, and he was nominated for several awards. All in all a really great year!
2001 started out with E-type's plans for 2001. A new album should be made, a computer-game based on his book, Sveakampen, was made and E-type had to make the music & dialogue for it - and he wanted to start writing on the sequel for Sveakampen. All the above was done. A special compilation-album with all E-type's favourite euro-hits was released during 2001 and a new single and album was released by end 2001 which were still going strong by 2002.
The new millennium started out with a Megamix release and shortly after it was time for the European Soccer Championships in Holland/Belgium where E-type wrote the main theme (Campione 2000). The year 2000 was also the year, where the very first E-type weekend was held where E-type fans would gather to have a good time. But this year was also a year with a lot of delays and postponed releases.
This is the year which went crazy for our website. With 41 news-update this year we were indeed the site which delivered the news to the fans. Top news this year: The awesome Last Man Standing tour through Scandinavia was an event we covered all the way. E-type released his first book called Sveakampen. And E-type won both a Swedish Grammy in the category "Modern Dance" and the Swedish award called "Rockbjörnen" this year.
The year of 1998 offered both good but also sad news. First of all, it was the year, we launched this website into Cyberspace ... it was the year of which E-type's successful album Last Man Standing was released, but it was also the year, his great producer friend Denniz PoP died of Cancer only 35 years of age.
